Exploration Illustration by Down The Street

“Illustrations of different buildings and architectural styles from our day-to-day experiences.”

Down The Street is a motion and illustration studio of Colin Ozawa and Paul Zappia. After countless hours of work, eighteen all-nighters, seven classes, two music videos, and a successful grad show they decided to combine forces to create what now exists in the space-time continuum as Down the Street Designs. A team of motionography, and illustration that has set out to save the world one project at a time.

The Romanian government just decriminalised official misconduct.

This essentially makes corruption legal.

what is life

fuckers passed the law in the middle of the night

despite protests being held against this in the last two weeks

there were more than 100k people on the streets a few days ago

i can’t even

I’m shaking with rage. A huge number of politicians will have their criminal records thrown out. People who have cause state prejudice of millions of dollars (they’re estimating a total of almost one billion). People who have tried to rig the votes in the last presidential election. The officials who had done the inspection in the Colectiv club before the fire that claimed 64 lives last year will be off their charges too.

I’m numb.

Is this for real? What the fuck.

Here’s an article in the Washington Post

New York Times

Financial Times

Protests are being organized throughout the country. I’m so worried that violence may break out, despite the fact that all protests so far have been peaceful.

There are 175.000 people out in the streets in the entire country. I’m hoping this changes something.

Over 300.000 at the moment.
It’s the biggest protest in Romania in the last 25 years.

Not long before this shit comes to the US.

[Class consciousness] is not learned from books, or through courses on theory and political formation, but through real life practice of the class struggle. It is true that prior to action, as well as after action, theory can be expressed in concepts that present organized knowledge; but, in order to develop in a real sense, this knowledge itself must be acquired in the hard school of experience, a harsh lived experience that shapes the mind in the full heat of combat…It is only through the practice of its struggles against capitalism…that the proletariat is transformed into a revolutionary class capable of conquering the capitalist system.

antoine-roquentin:

one major reason why trump’s muslim ban is going to fall pretty swiftly is that it reeks of poor management of imperialism. obama managed to keep muslims out of america pretty darn well, and liberals never complained (he even bombed thousands of them without a peep). “Pew Research Center said last October 38,901 Muslim refugees entered the United States in fiscal year 2016 from all countries - almost the same number of Christian refugees, 37,521.” the incoming syrian refugee total was 1% of lebanon’s, and again biased towards christians. the bush presidency actually built a database aimed at collecting as much biometric data on muslims as possible and subjecting them to numerous migration restrictions. obama kept it for 3 years and then suspended it because another biometric program pulled even more data and did so for everyone, not just muslims. none of this aroused any kind of anger or mass protests from liberals the way the current muslim ban is, and that was just how the american state apparatus preferred it. more than likely, this ban will fall in due time, and we’ll sit around crowing about how we defeated evil once again, while the previously mentioned issues will continue to plague muslims attempting to come to america.

Clinical psychologist Dr. John Carta-Falsa (pers. comm., October 31, 1992) pointed out that, when men discuss with one another their sexual relations with women, they are being (covertly) sexual with one another. I would add to his observation that, when men get together to talk about “fucking” women, “scoring,” or their sexual conquests, they are communicating to one another that, although they have sex with women, their emotional bonds are with one another. They are saying to their male companions, “You are more important to me than the woman with whom I had sex.” (Perhaps this is why the individual females with whom men have sex are not all that important to many of them.) They are also communicating that their sexual relations with women are for the purpose of exploitation. Such talk by men puts the male listeners in the sex act with the male speaker and the woman. The companions are invisible, but they are there with the man doing the “fucking,” sharing in his victory of the exploitation of a woman, the men’s bonds strengthened by the sharing, united in their subjugation of femaleness. In today’s culture it takes degrading, humiliating, controlling, and/ or inflicting pain on women for many men to “come,” that is, to reach orgasm, or even just to have a sexual, erotic experience. The fact that pornography is a multibillion dollar industry financed overwhelmingly by men, says that it is not just a small minority of men who seek female degradation for their sexual pleasure. If men’s love for women is healthy or real, it should not take degradation or humiliation of women, or inflicting pain on us, for so many— and perhaps most or even all— men to have the profound emotional and physiological experiences associated with sex.
